Description
Zyvox is a synthetic antibiotic used to treat severe infectious diseases such as community-acquired pneumonia, hospital-acquired pneumonia, skin and soft tissue infections, and also treats diseases that are caused by gram-negative microorganisms.
Composition and analogues of the drug.
The main active ingredient in the composition is linezolid, as well as means to maintain the shape of the tablet – starch, sodium, citric acid.
Analogues of the drug: Zenix, Zivaxilid, Infinilez, Linezolid, Linoject, Selezolid, Amizolid, Baktolin.
How does the drug work?
The process of work is due to selective inhibition of protein synthesis in microorganisms due to binding to bacterial cells, linezolid prevents the appearance of translation (multiplication) of protein synthesis.
How to use and dosage of the drug.
The dosage regimen and duration of treatment depends on the pathogen, the location and severity of the infection, as well as on clinical efficacy.

Side effects and contraindications.
Side effects: taste changes, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, adverse reactions are not dose dependent and usually do not require discontinuation of treatment.
Contraindications: hypersensitivity to linozolid and its components, to be taken with caution by pregnant women, as well as during breastfeeding.
