How does the drug work?
Facilitates cholinergic transmission by enhancing and prolonging the action of endogenous acetylcholine. Increases the tone of smooth muscles of internal organs, enhances the secretion of exocrine glands. Causes miosis, reduces intraocular pressure, causes a spasm of accommodation.

Side effects: salivation, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, itching.
Contraindications: bronchial asthma, bradycardia, angina pectoris, epilepsy, hyperkinesis, intestinal obstruction, age under 18, hypersensitivity to galantamine.
