How to take and dosage.

With hypothyroidism, the initial dose is 25-100 mcg / day; maintenance – 125-250 mcg / day; for children, the initial dose is 12.5-50 mcg / day, the maintenance dose is 100-150 mcg per 1 m² of body surface. In congenital hypothyroidism, children under the age of 6 months – 8-10 mcg / kg / day, at the age of 6-12 months – 6-8 mcg / kg / day, 1-5 years – 5-6 mcg / kg / day, 6 -12 years – 4-5 mcg / kg / day. With endemic goiter, treatment begins with 50 mcg / day with a gradual increase to the optimal – 100-200 mcg / day. Euthyroid goiter and prevention of its recurrence after resection: adults – 75-200 mcg / day, children – 12.5-150 mcg / day. Additional therapy in the treatment of thyreostatic drugs – 50-100 mcg / day. Malignant tumor of the thyroid gland (after surgery) – 150-300 mcg / day.

Side effects and contraindications.

Side effects: allergic reactions, irritability, convulsions, nervousness, headache, drowsiness, myalgia, weakness, lethargy, apathy, fever, tachycardia.
Contraindications: hypersensitivity.
