COREG is a drug used to lower blood pressure in arterial hypertension, is used in chronic heart failure, as well as in coronary heart disease, in case of stable angina pectoris.

Composition and analogues of the drug.

The main active ingredient in the composition is carvedilol.

What effect does the drug have?

The drug dilates the peripheral vessels of the heart, thereby reducing vascular resistance. In patients with arterial hypertension, blood pressure decreases.
In patients with coronary heart disease, it has an antianginal and anti-ischemic effect.
In patients with dysfunction of the left ventricle and circulatory failure – has a beneficial effect on hemodynamic parameters, increases the ejection of blood from the left ventricle and reduces its size.

Dosing regimen.

The initial dose is 6.5 mg per day, then the dose is increased to 25 mg 1 time per day. If the effect does not occur, then after 2 weeks of therapy, the dose can be increased by 2 times more.
