Description
Colospa is an antispasmodic. Designed to relieve spasms in the gastrointestinal tract, which appeared as a result of organic diseases, with biliary and intestinal colic, as well as a symptomatic treatment of spasms and pain, discomfort and intestinal disorders.
This medicine may be given to children 12 years of age and older for indigestion.
Composition and analogues of the drug.
The main component in the composition: mebeverine.
Analogues: Aprofen, Meverin, Niaspam, Sparex, Trimedat, Duspatalin.
How does the drug work?
The drug relieves spasms from the walls and muscles of the stomach and has a myotropic effect.
Due to the removal of spasms, relief comes in the stomach.
How to take and dosage of medication.
The average daily dose is 400 mg.
Adults are prescribed 200 mg.
2 times a day before meals and 100 mg. 4 times a day;
3 times a day for 135 mg.
Side effects and contraindications.
Side effects: headache, exanthema, constipation, diarrhea, urticaria, swelling, angioedema.
Contraindications: hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, pregnant women, breastfeeding period.
