Calan SR is a drug that has one of the main drugs of the calcium channel blockers group. It has antiarrhythmic, antianginal and antihypertensive effects. The main active ingredient in the composition is verapamil.

How does the drug work?

Dosing regimen.

Calan SR is taken during or after a meal with a small amount of water.

For the prevention of angina attacks, for the treatment of arterial hypertension and arrhythmia, the drug is prescribed to start at 40-80 mg 3 or 4 times a day. The dose can be increased to 120-180 mg. The maximum dose per day is 480 mg.

Contraindications: bradycardia, chronic heart failure, age up to 18 years, hypersensitivity, breastfeeding period.
